A Word from the Founder: My Dream for You Matter Stories

My dream for You Matter Stories is for it to become a place filled with people who focus on empathizing with every human being we come in contact with. It is to sit with unique individuals and recognize their difference and what makes them truly significant. My dream is to also create a workplace that employees feel welcomed into and taken care of. I imagine traveling to seek out stories from public figures that have been improperly judged and wrongly imaged, and to instead place the image of them as something true, real, and genuine. I want to allow people to feel so special, special enough that I will come to them just to listen, photograph, and share their existence.

My dream is to solve the detrimental problem of ignorance and assumptions when it comes to advertising and model figures. I want to create authentic role models who can stand up for the real problems on this earth and not be afraid to be vulnerable. I can't solve all the problems in this world, but I can at least solve them in my own empire. I don't want unknown faces to go by without credit and I don't want known faces to be misunderstood. It's a tall order, but it's worth fighting for and I have every desire within me to use business and art to change the world.

It may take a long time to build this dream, but then again, it could take much shorter than I thought to sky rocket. The point is, I won't know the length of time it'll take to make even the smallest dent in this broken world of lies. And while everyone else is trying to solve such a similar issue with judgemental behavior, this is my own special way using my ever-growing talents in storytelling. I believe that if we knew even the slightest truth about the most unlikeable person, we might open our eyes to understand that every action was caused by an underlying reality of psychological mishaps. And if we knew the truth about the sweetest and kindest person, we'd also find that there are struggles despite what appears on the outside. I have a heart for the human race and I'm ever curious what each person's story is.

Because I am one small human, my dream is to build quite the team of extraordinary storytellers and passionate teammates who merely live to change the world around them. And it might be hard to seek out the genuine, but it'll be worth every search and effort we make. I dream to stand out so much so that people are inclined to turn their heads and take a look at what we're doing. I may not know what sort of pivoting we might be forced to take or if our name will stay or change. But I do know I will keep fighting to build this ideal community and keep my passion going strong because that's what entrepreneurs do.

I have been surrounded throughout my life by negative comments toward my personality because of my social anxiety, causing me to shut down or keep to myself. And as I grew and fought that feeling nearly my entire life, I've developed this story that shows the world I am one of the last people who would ever build something grand. From rejection to anxiety to constant loss...here I am, fighting against the odds. I dream and pray that my unique story will inspire others to do the same. I never pictured myself as a leader, but I couldn't think of a better position to prove my enemies wrong.

I am good enough. I am strong enough. I am creative enough. I am smart enough. I am passionate enough. I am capable. I am worth it.

You are good enough. You are strong enough. You are worth it too.

My dream is to make listening and executing art a career. Hang tight! We are only getting started. ;)
